Dadawa was designated as the
UNDP China National Goodwill
Ambassador for 2009 & 2010.
The Goodwill Action consists of
two components: Firstly, the
preservation and revival of ethnic
music” (2009). Dadawa helped launch
the “Hear The World - Ethnic Music
Exploration Tour”, which covered
Guizhou, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia,
Xinjiang and Tibet, and which collected
over 1,000 pieces of ethnic music;

Secondly, the preservation and
development of ethnic handicrafts”
(2010), which aims to to “strengthen
the economic potential of the
minority areas by supporting the
branding and marketing efforts
of the ethnic handicraft and tourism
sectors...and also aims to enhance
communication between ethnic
minority regions and the world.”
